Binh Dinh is planning to welcome foreign tourists and become the 6th destination in Vietnam to reopen inbound tourism in Vietnam after 2 years of border closures.
The Vice-Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province Mr. Lam Hai Giang said it is necessary to connect localities and tourism businesses in recovering and developing Vietnam tourism. Binh Dinh is considering necessary conditions to welcome tourists and plan to welcome those who travel on package tours only. To ensure the best experience for tourists, he adds that the province will ensure the traffic hubs and pick-up procedure to be simple but safe.

The provincial Department of Tourism is having a specific plan to get ready for the program. The province will focus on East Asian, Southeast Asian, and US markets and guarantee the flexibility but highest safety under the Government’s control, the director Tran Van Thanh said.
Binh Dinh has welcomed around 200,000 international tourists each year before the pandemic. The number just reach around 77,000 tourists, a 60% decrease in 2021, and expects to reach 80,000-100,000 in 2022 if the pandemic is under control.
Currently, Vietnam has 5 eligible destinations to welcome foreign tourists including Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, Da Nang, Quang Ninh, and Quang Nam.
